🌿 Day 1: Viriditas, the Greening Power of God🌿
Today we reflect on Hildegard’s beautiful theme of viriditas, the greening power of God that renews our souls and sustains all creation.
St. Hildegard’s Words: “The Word is living, being, spirit, all verdant greening, all creativity. This Word flashes out in every creature.”
Prayer: O St. Hildegard, prophet of viriditas, teach me to see the greening sustaining life of God in all creation. May my soul be refreshed, my body renewed, and my heart turned toward God the Creator who makes all things flourish.
O God, by whose grace your servant Hildegard, kindled with the Fire of your love, became a burning and shining light in your Church: Grant that we also may be aflame with the spirit of love and discipline, and walk before you as children of light; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
