Pure Juice Pressed from Young Spring Nettle Leaves
Our 100% Nettle Juice is made from young leaves of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L.) harvested in spring and pressed directly into juice.
NFC means “Not From Concentrate”—the juice is obtained directly from fresh nettle leaves rather than being produced from concentrated juice and later reconstituted with water.
The product is pasteurized for preservation and has the naturally earthy, distinctly herbal character of fresh nettle.
St. Hildegard on Nettle
St. Hildegard placed particular value on nettle when it was still young and had newly emerged from the ground:
“Nettle is very hot in its own way. It is not at all good eaten raw because of its harshness. But when it newly sprouts from the ground, it is good when cooked, as food for a human. It purges his stomach and takes mucus away from it. Any kind of nettle does this.”
Following this traditional emphasis on young nettle, our juice is pressed from tender spring nettle leaves, harvested while the plant is still young.
Interestingly, modern research has also found that the chemical and nutritional composition of nettle can vary depending on the plant's stage of growth and time of harvest.
Naturally Rich in Valuable Nutrients
Nettle is an exceptionally nutrient-dense plant that has been used as both a food and an herb for generations. It naturally contains vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, carotenoids, polyphenols, and other plant compounds.
This nettle juice is particularly notable for its naturally occurring:
Vitamin K — 26%
Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and plays an important role in maintaining healthy bones.
Calcium — 20%
Calcium is an essential mineral involved in maintaining healthy bones and teeth as well as normal muscle and nerve function.
Magnesium — 19%
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle and nerve function and participates in numerous processes involved in normal energy metabolism.
Suggested Use
Enjoy 50 ml (approximately 1.7 fl oz) daily, either directly or diluted with water according to preference.
Shake well before use. Refrigerate after opening.
Because nettle juice naturally contains Vitamin K, individuals taking warfarin or other vitamin K–antagonist anticoagulant medications should consult their healthcare professional before adding it regularly to their diet.
